audio snake 2A few details to work on before any more major work can be done.  With EQ’s and amps in the front and the head-end gear in the rear, I need to run cables between the two locations.  Here I’ve drilled holes in the plaster ceiling to mount Ty-Rap fasteners.
audio snake 3Here are the fasteners epoxied into the holes to which the snake and control wiring will be fastened.
audio snake 4In addition to this 8-channel (for 7.1 channels) balanced audio snake from AVCable.com I will run a CAT6 cable; not for computer networking, but to carry the 12-volt trigger from the pre/pro to the amps and EQ’s up front.
